About Yorktown - Redoubt 10
American light infantry led by Alexander Hamilton stormed Redoubt 10 on October 14, 1781, while French troops captured Redoubt 9. The victories allowed completion of the allied second parallel, bringing artillery close enough to force Cornwallis’s surrender five days later.
