Hannah Milhous Nixon was Richard Nixon’s mother. Born into a Quaker family in Indiana, she moved with relatives to California and married Frank Nixon in 1908.

EARLY LIFE

Hannah was a daughter of Franklin and Almira Milhous. Her family moved to Whittier, California, in 1897.

Hannah died on September 30, 1967 from complications of a stroke suffered two years earlier, according to the Nixon Library family collection.
