HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Westville Historic Village.

The village consists of historic nineteenth century buildings relocated from elsewhere in the region and reassembled as a living history site, rather than structures original to the location. It is operated as a nonprofit heritage attraction associated with the city of Columbus, Georgia. The site is open to the public on a ticketed basis.

About Westville Historic Village

Westville Historic Village is a living history museum assembled from authentic nineteenth-century buildings relocated from across west Georgia, founded in the 1960s to preserve a working model of pre-industrial rural life. Costumed interpreters demonstrated period crafts such as blacksmithing, weaving, and pottery in the reassembled structures. It relocated to Columbus in 2019.
