About The Hunt-Hardy House
The Hunt-Hardy House was a nineteenth century farmhouse built near the community of Gay Hill in Washington County, Texas. It served as the home of a local farming family during a period when the area was developing as agricultural farmland in the decades following Texas statehood. The house reflected the modest rural domestic architecture typical of nineteenth century Texas farmsteads.
