HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Temple of Jupiter Anxur, Terracina.
The surviving structure is the temple's massive substructure, a terraced platform of arched vaults built in opus incertum, together with fragments of the podium walls, that once supported the temple building itself, which no longer stands above ground. The site is in Italian state ownership. It consists of open ruins on the hilltop above Terracina that are freely accessible to visitors.
