About Taliesin West
Taliesin West was built starting in 1937 by architect Frank Lloyd Wright as his winter home, studio, and architecture school near Scottsdale, Arizona. Wright and his apprentices in the Taliesin Fellowship built it from desert masonry using native stone and sand, continually expanding it over the following decades. It became a key center for teaching organic architecture.
