About Sutton-Taylor Feud Sites

One of the longest and bloodiest family feuds of the Reconstruction era, the Sutton-Taylor Feud pitted rival factions across DeWitt and surrounding counties in a cycle of killings and reprisals that lasted from 1868 into the mid-1870s, drawing in gunfighter John Wesley Hardin on the Taylor side before finally subsiding.
