About Ross-Carroll House

Mary Dwyer Ross built this Queen Anne style house around 1899 on land inherited from her father, Thomas Dwyer. Constructed of cypress, it featured Victorian ornamentation, including an open tower and a horseshoe-arched second-story porch. The home passed to her daughter, Matilda Ross Carroll, in 1941 and remained in the family until 1970.

Built of cypress, the Queen Anne style house features Victorian ornamentation in its open tower, a second level porch with horseshoe arches, and jigsawn friezes and brackets.
