About Roman Theatre, Fiesole (near Florence)

The Roman theater at Fiesole, ancient Faesulae, was built in the first century BCE after the Etruscan hill town became a Roman colony. The theater formed part of a wider Roman civic complex that included baths and a temple, reflecting Fiesole's romanization.
