About Rock Art of the Hail Region
Prehistoric hunter-gatherer communities carved and painted the rock art across the Hail region beginning in the Neolithic period. The images depict humans, cattle, horses, and hunting scenes, documenting the area's wetter climate and pastoral life near ancient lakebeds. The carvings recorded successive cultures who traveled and camped along the same routes into the Bronze Age.
