About Red Top Cemetery
Red Top Cemetery was a rural burial ground established in the nineteenth century to serve the farming community near Shiro in Grimes County, Texas. Generations of local families were buried there as the community grew around agriculture and small rural churches typical of the area. The cemetery functioned as the principal resting place for this rural Texas community.
