HISTORIC PRESERVATION at RCMP Heritage Centre.
The center occupies a purpose built modern museum building displaying uniforms, weapons, photographs, and other artifacts from the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, located adjacent to the force's training academy rather than preserving a historic structure itself. It is operated by a nonprofit organization working in partnership with the RCMP. The museum is open to the public on a ticketed basis.
About RCMP Heritage Centre
The center was built in the early two-thousands next to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police training depot in Regina as a museum interpreting national police history. It houses artifacts, uniforms, and exhibits tracing the Mounties from their nineteenth century frontier origins to modern policing. The museum preserved the force's role in Canadian nation-building and law enforcement.
