About Pampell-Day Homestead
Built in 1844 of native pine and sand brick, this Brenham home served as the residence of the Pampell family. Civil War veteran T. J. Pampell, who also owned a store and mule-drawn streetcar line, added a Hudson River style front wing in 1875. The house remained home to the Pampell and Day families for three generations.
