The privately owned cemetery survives as Manhattan’s oldest nonsectarian burial ground, enclosed within its original block interior. Underground marble vaults, identifying wall tablets, gates, paths, and landscaping are maintained by trustees, with limited scheduled public openings and ongoing conservation.
