HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Museum of Cycladic Art.

The museum occupies a purpose built twentieth century building in the Kolonaki district, designed to house the Goulandris family's collection of Cycladic and ancient Greek art, and the structure and its galleries survive intact along with an adjoining neoclassical mansion incorporated into the complex. It is privately managed by the Museum of Cycladic Art, a nonprofit foundation established by the Goulandris family. The museum is open to the public on a ticketed basis.

About Museum of Cycladic Art

The Museum of Cycladic Art was founded in Athens in 1986 by Nicholas and Dolly Goulandris to house their private collection of Cycladic figurines and other ancient Greek antiquities. It occupied a purpose-built structure alongside the historic Stathatos Mansion. The museum became a leading center for the study and display of early Bronze Age Cycladic art.
