Original architectural details, period rooms, collections, counting room, dependencies, terraces, and restored garden survive, with seasonal tours interpreting Portsmouth’s mercantile and Revolutionary history.

This Georgian mansion was the home of William Whipple, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary War general, and remains a house museum interpreting Portsmouth's role in the founding era.
