About Mill Creek Farm

Mill Creek Farm was a nineteenth-century farmstead west of Brenham, Texas, associated with the H. G. Nelms family amid the agricultural settlement of Washington County after Texas statehood. Like other farms of the region, it centered on cotton and diversified crops worked by a farming household. It reflected the rural economy of nineteenth-century Central Texas.
