The site preserves excavated remains of a Greco-Roman port town, including paved streets, house foundations, rock-cut tombs, and a small bath complex, most surviving only as low walls and foundations rather than standing structures. It is managed by Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities as an open-air archaeological park. The site is open to the public on a ticketed basis.
