HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Little Moreton Hall, Cheshire.

Little Moreton Hall preserves its distinctive timber-framed Tudor structure, including the moated house's leaning long gallery, great hall, and chapel, standing substantially as originally built with careful historic conservation rather than reconstruction. It is owned by the National Trust and is a scheduled monument and listed building. It is open to the public on a ticketed basis.

About Little Moreton Hall, Cheshire

Little Moreton Hall was built and enlarged by the Moreton family, beginning around 1504 and continuing through the early seventeenth century, as their moated manor house in Cheshire. It is celebrated for its elaborate timber framing and long gallery, added in the Elizabethan period. The house remained a Moreton family residence for generations and later served as a farmhouse.
