About Koehler's Saloon and Store
Koehler's Saloon and Store was built of field stone in Fort Stockton, Texas, during the 1870s. In 1884 Herman Koehler opened a saloon at one end of the building and a store and bank at the other, later adding a second story. The building served as a combined commercial and financial hub for the small West Texas community.
