About Julius Yanch Home

The house was built in 1854 for Julius Yanch by M. P. Munyan, a contractor responsible for many of Chappell Hill's early buildings. It featured cedar construction with tongue and groove flooring, a chimney, and an underground cistern of native limestone. The house exemplified pioneer domestic architecture in early Chappell Hill, Texas.
