About Jenkins Fort Marker
Jenkins Fort was one of the Patriot defenses in Pennsylvania’s Wyoming Valley. During the 1778 frontier campaign, its garrison and nearby inhabitants faced British-allied Loyalist and Haudenosaunee forces. The post fell after the American defeat at Wyoming, illustrating the vulnerability of isolated settlements during the Revolution’s northern border warfare.
