HISTORIC PRESERVATION at James City County Courthouse.

The original 1770 courthouse no longer survives. Colonial Williamsburg’s twentieth-century reconstruction occupies the historic site and presents period-style courtroom and office interiors, furnishings, architectural details, and surrounding civic streetscape based on documentary and archaeological evidence rather than preserved original fabric.
