About Jacob Haller House
Chappell Hill's first postmaster built this Victorian house in 1853 using hand-hewn local cedar framing and cypress clapboard siding. It later became the home of W. R. Campbell, known locally as a country doctor. The house's fine woodwork and craftsmanship reflect the domestic architecture of a prosperous mid-nineteenth-century Texas town.
