HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Irish National Heritage Park.

The park consists of reconstructed structures, including a crannog, a ringfort, a monastic enclosure, and a Viking house, built to represent successive periods of Irish history rather than original standing fabric. It is privately operated as an open air heritage and education center. The park is open to the public on a ticketed basis throughout the year.

About Irish National Heritage Park

The Irish National Heritage Park was established in the twentieth century near Wexford to recreate dwellings and structures spanning Irish history from the Mesolithic period to the Norman arrival. It featured reconstructed crannogs, ring forts, and early monastic sites built using traditional methods. The park was created to illustrate the daily life of successive peoples.
