About Hospital de Sant Pau
The Hospital de Sant Pau was built between 1902 and 1930 in Barcelona, designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner and funded through banker Pau Gil's bequest. It replaced the medieval Hospital de la Santa Creu and was conceived as a garden campus of pavilions in the Catalan Modernisme style. The complex functioned as a working general hospital for most of the century.
