About Home Built in 1845 by General Jerome B. Robertson

This house was built in 1845 for Jerome B. Robertson, who had served as a captain in the Republic of Texas army in 1836 and in the 1842 Somervell Expedition. He later sat in the Texas Legislature as both representative and senator. During the Civil War he rose to brigadier general commanding Hood's Texas Brigade of the Confederate army.
