About Here Milton Faver

Milton Faver established the first Anglo-American-owned ranch in the Big Bend region in the 1850s. Three quadrangular adobe fortresses, at Cibolo, Cienega, and La Morita springs, sheltered his cattle and horse operations against Apache raids. The ranch anchored early Anglo settlement and trade in the remote Trans-Pecos borderlands.
