HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Hammond's Store Battle Site.
The rural battlefield retains portions of its historic landscape, but roads, agriculture, and later development have altered the scene and no battle structures survive. Markers and local interpretation identify the engagement, while most preservation remains commemorative and archaeological rather than park-based.
