About Grimspound, Dartmoor, Devon
Bronze Age farming communities built Grimspound on Dartmoor around the second millennium BCE as an enclosed settlement of stone hut circles. A massive perimeter wall enclosed roughly two dozen huts along with an entrance, likely to shelter livestock as well as people. The site illustrated the pastoral life of prehistoric moorland communities in southwest Britain.
