About Grace United Methodist Church
This congregation was founded in 1868 as the Bremond Methodist Episcopal Church, South, under the Rev. John R. White, initially meeting in homes and a community union church. Two early buildings were rebuilt after windstorm damage, and a new sanctuary replaced one lost to fire in 1949. The congregation adopted the name Grace Methodist Church in the 1950s.
