About Garcia-Valadez House

Trinidad Garcia, a ranch hand, built this four-room adobe house in Alpine in 1890, with walls up to 33 inches thick. The home served for years as a social center for the local community. In 1926 it passed to merchant Thomas Valadez and his family, who expanded it to eight rooms.

HISTORY HAPPENED HERE at Garcia-Valadez House

Built in 1890 by Trinidad Garcia, ranch hand. Original four rooms had adobe walls 27 to 33 inches thick. Was a social center for many years.
