About First Presbyterian Church of Navasota
The First Presbyterian Church of Navasota was organized in 1866 by members who had belonged to a church at Washington, Texas. The congregation erected its first building in 1876, replacing it in 1894 with a Victorian edifice built in the style favored by its English builders. It served the growing town of Navasota as a place of worship.
