About Faqra
Faqra was a Roman-era sanctuary built high in the mountains of Mount Lebanon, centered on a temple dedicated to a local deity around the first century CE. Its complex included an altar and a smaller temple built in a Phoenician religious tradition. The sanctuary served as a regional center of worship within the religious life of Roman Lebanon.
