About Edward McMillan
Edward McMillan, born in Ireland in 1814, served as a soldier in the Texas army and fought at the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. He was later buried near Franklin, Texas, alongside his wife, Ann Marjorie McQuiston McMillan, who was born in Tennessee. McMillan died in 1865 and his wife in 1879, their lives representative of the settlers who built communities in Texas.
