HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Dudley Farm Historic State Park.

The park preserves an assemblage of original farm buildings dating from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, including the Dudley family farmhouse, barns, a cane syrup mill, and a general store, maintained largely as they stood rather than as reconstructions. It is owned and operated by the State of Florida through the state park service as a historic state park. The grounds and buildings are open to the public, with building interiors generally accessible through guided or staffed visits.

About Dudley Farm Historic State Park

The Dudley family established a farm near present-day Newberry, Florida, in the mid-nineteenth century, raising cotton and other crops with enslaved and later tenant labor. Successive generations worked the land for over a century, adapting to citrus, cattle, and turpentine production as markets changed. The farm illustrated the evolution of north Florida agriculture.
