HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Dublinia (Viking & Medieval Dublin).

Dublinia occupies the former Synod Hall, a nineteenth century building erected on the site of the medieval St. Michael's Church beside Christ Church Cathedral, with the exhibition incorporating medieval fabric and a surviving link bridge to the cathedral. It is operated by the Medieval Trust as a heritage exhibition on Viking and medieval Dublin. The attraction is open to the public on a ticketed basis.

About Dublinia (Viking & Medieval Dublin)

The Church of Ireland built the Synod Hall beside Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin in 1875 for meetings of its General Synod. The building later became home to Dublinia, an exhibition recreating the city's Viking and medieval past through reconstructed streets and displays. It interpreted Dublin's origins as a Norse trading settlement.
