About Dr. Benjamin Briggs Goodrich
Dr. Benjamin Briggs Goodrich was a physician born in Brunswick County, Virginia, in 1799 who settled in Texas and died at Anderson in 1860. In 1835 he took part in the Consultation at San Felipe, and on March 2, 1836, he signed the Texas Declaration of Independence at Washington-on-the-Brazos. His wife, Serena Crothers Goodrich, survived him until 1884.
