HISTORIC PRESERVATION at Corbridge Roman Town, Northumberland.
The site preserves the excavated stone foundations of granaries, a fountain house, and other buildings of the Roman town of Corstopitum, along with an on site museum holding sculpture and inscriptions recovered from the town, though the walls generally survive only to low courses. It forms part of the Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site and is managed by English Heritage. The site and museum are open to the public on a ticketed basis.

Corbridge began as a Roman fort along the Stanegate road in the first century CE and grew into the garrison town of Coria, supplying troops along Hadrian's Wall. It housed granaries, workshops, and a marketplace serving soldiers and civilians alike. Occupied into the fourth century, it functioned as a major military and logistical center in northern Britain.
