TICKET REQUIRED
Open daily, with open-house access 9–10:30am and tours every 20 minutes from 10:40am to 4:40pm. Admission is free; visitors enter through the Independence Square security screening area.
No tickets are required; entry is free. Restrooms are at the nearby Independence Visitor Center and Benjamin Franklin Museum rather than on site.

About Congress Hall
Congress Hall was built after the Revolution and housed the United States Congress from 1790 to 1800. Its direct significance is postwar: veterans and founders established the federal government there, implementing the constitutional system created after independence. No Revolutionary wartime event occurred in the building.
The original late-eighteenth-century brick building survives beside Independence Hall within a National Park Service complex. Restored House and Senate chambers, committee rooms, period furnishings, conserved architectural fabric, and exhibits interpret its use by the United States Congress during the 1790s.
