About Comanche Trail
The Comanche Trail was blazed by Comanche raiding and trading parties traveling between the western plains and Mexico. It ran south from the Horse Head Crossing of the Pecos River, past Comanche Springs near present Fort Stockton, to the Rio Grande. Emigrants and soldiers later traveled the same route.
