The Colonial Spanish Quarter Museum preserves reconstructed and restored eighteenth century Spanish colonial buildings and house sites along St. George Street, combining some original structures with careful reconstructions on original foundations. It is administered by the City of St. Augustine. It is open to the public as a ticketed museum with costumed interpretation.
About Colonial Spanish Quarter Museum
The Colonial Spanish Quarter in St. Augustine, Florida, is a re-created historic neighborhood depicting the city's Spanish colonial life of the eighteenth century, when St. Augustine served as capital of Spanish Florida. Restored and reconstructed houses and workshops there recreate the trades and households of Spanish colonists. It illustrated Spain's oldest North American outpost.
