About City Building

The City Building was erected in 1893 as a public school, becoming the oldest public school building in Alpine. It was abandoned for educational use in 1910 and later served successively as a hospital, a college dormitory, and a Border Patrol station. It also housed the U.S. Agricultural and Soil Conservation Service.
