About Chambers Hotel
This adobe building was constructed in 1891 as a hotel, first operated by owner Mary Collins. Gran Chambers purchased it in 1905 and enlarged it with a wooden frame built over the original thick adobe walls. It continued operating as the Chambers Hotel until 1930, serving the town of Marathon.
