About Castello Pandone
Castello Pandone in Venafro originated as a medieval fortress, with its earliest stronghold traced to around the ninth or tenth century. The Pandone family, who held it from the fifteenth century, transformed it into a Renaissance residence and commissioned frescoes of their prized horses. It served as a seat of feudal lordship over the surrounding Molise countryside.
