About Captain Henry Reed
Henry Reed, born in Tennessee in 1800, fought in the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836 during the Texas Revolution. He later that year commanded a volunteer company in the newly independent Republic of Texas. He settled near Calvert, Texas, and died there in 1854.
