About Camp Family Cemetery
The Camp family cemetery near Navasota served as a burial ground for a local family and their neighbors beginning in the nineteenth century, a common practice on rural Texas farmsteads. It held graves for multiple generations of the family. Small family cemeteries such as this one preserved a record of the area's early Anglo-American settlement.
