About Bennett, Rueben, House
The Reuben Bennett House was built in the nineteenth century as a residence in Anderson, Texas, then a center of Grimes County community and commercial life. It followed the vernacular building traditions common to rural Texas farmsteads of the period. The house formed part of the town's early residential development during the era of Texas statehood.
