Morris Meyerson
Morris Meyerson, also spelled Myerson, was the husband of Golda Meir. A socialist whom she met in the United States, he married her in December 1917. Together they left their jobs and moved to Palestine in 1921, settling at Kibbutz Merhavia as her involvement in Labor Zionism grew. Their relationship formed part of the transition from American life to the society in which she built her political career. Details of his own work and personal chronology need fuller verification.
EARLY LIFE
Morris Meyerson was born on December 17, 1893, into a family of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe. He grew up in modest circumstances and worked as a sign painter. He was a quiet, gentle man with a deep love of music, poetry and art, largely self-educated through reading. In about 1913 in Denver, Colorado, he met Golda Mabovitch, a teenager who was living with her married sister there. They courted for several years, and Golda insisted that they would one day move to Palestine.
Morris and Golda married on December 24, 1917, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1921 they emigrated to Palestine and joined Kibbutz Merhavia, but Morris found kibbutz life difficult, and they moved to Jerusalem.
They had two children, Menachem and Sarah. As Golda became increasingly involved in the Labor Zionist movement and moved to Tel Aviv, the couple lived largely apart. They separated in the late 1930s but never divorced.
Morris Meyerson died in Jerusalem on May 25, 1951. Golda later took the Hebrew surname Meir in 1956 and became prime minister of Israel in 1969.

It gives no dependable sequence of treatment and last symptoms from which to reconstruct a more detailed bedside narrative.
