Elizabeth Parke Law died on Aug 9, 1822. Elizabeth Parke Law Rogers was the daughter of Thomas Law and Elizabeth Parke Custis and a great-granddaughter of Martha Washington. Born in Washington, she married Nicholas Lloyd Rogers and was the mother of Edmund Law Rogers. Mount Vernon’s Peter family papers preserve a letter from her half-brother John Law sending her sweetmeats from Woodlawn. A miniature also survives.
